ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Monday strongly condemned Sunday’s missile attacks by Houthi rebels against Saudi Arabia.
According to the Saudi-led Arab coalition, the Kingdom’s air defenses intercepted seven ballistic missiles fired from Yemen.
“Pakistan commends the government of Saudi Arabia for destroying the missiles and limiting the casualties,” Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement, reiterating the country’s “full support and solidarity” with the Kingdom’s leadership and people.
In December 2017, the ministry expressed concern over “the increasing frequency and ferocity of the missile attacks, targeted at innocent civilians by Houthi rebels,” which “pose a threat to regional peace and security.”
